A Few Words
Who we are
Brunswick Valley Meals on Wheels Service Inc. funded by the Department of Health provides a variety of Food Services and Social Support activities across Byron Shire and beyond. Managed by a voluntary Management Committee with the employment of administration and kitchen staff.
The Service started in the ’70s, with the Brunswick Heads and Mullumbimby Services. In 1993, the Services amalgamated to create a new Service, Brunswick Valley Meals on Wheels Service Inc. In 1995, the Byron Bay Meals on Wheels joined the fold to make a Shire wide Service.
Wollum Aboriginal Meals Service, auspiced by the BVMOW assists aboriginal people over 50 years with meal delivery services, across 3 LGAs – Byron, Lismore, Richmond Valley.
